Composition
Each 1 g contains:
Chlortetracycline HCl 575 mg
(equivalent to chlortetracycline base 500 mg)
Properties
A bacteriostatic tetracycline for a wide variety of infections caused by Gram-positive (Corynebacterium, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus spp.) and Gram-negative bacteria (E. coli, Salmonella, Haemophilus, Pasteurella spp.), Mycoplasma, spirochaetes, rickettsiae and some protozoa; large doses may be bactericidal. Inhibits protein synthesis at the 30S ribosomal subunit.
Indications
Poultry: CRD due to Mycoplasma and/or E. coli, enteritis due to E. coli and Salmonella spp., fowl cholera (Pasteurella multocida). Calves, lambs & kids: scour and pneumonia.
Dosage & Administration
General dose: 20 mg/kg body weight.
Poultry: 2 g / 5 litres of drinking water daily for 3–5 days.
Calves, lambs & kids: 0.5 g / 12.5 kg body weight once daily for 3–5 days.
Warnings & Precautions
Not for ruminating animals. Not for layers. Not for renal impairment.
Side Effects
None at recommended doses; long treatment in young animals may affect teeth and bones through calcium chelation.
Withdrawal Time
Poultry: 7 days. Calves, lambs & kids: 21 days.

Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
