Sulphaquinoxaline Sodium
Composition
Each 100 g contains:
Sulphaquinoxaline sodium 63 g
(equivalent to sulphaquinoxaline base 50 g)
Properties
A sulphonamide antibacterial that blocks conversion of PABA to dihydrofolic acid in sensitive bacteria and coccidia, without affecting host cells (which use dietary folic acid).
Indications
Poultry, turkeys & rabbits: wide variety of infections from sensitive Gram-positive (Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium) and Gram-negative bacteria (Pasteurella, Salmonella, E. coli). Also effective against coccidiosis (Eimeria maxima, E. mivati, E. necatrix, E. brunetti; weaker on E. tenella in broilers) and hepatic coccidiosis in rabbits.
Dosage & Administration
Given orally via drinking water.
Active ingredient — poultry & turkeys: 50 mg/kg for 3–5 days.
Whole product — poultry: 1 g / litre of drinking water daily for 3–5 days.
Warnings & Precautions
Not for ruminating animals. Not for layers. Do not combine with penicillins or chloramphenicol.
Side Effects
Long use may cause crystalluria, nephrotoxicity or bleeding.
Withdrawal Time
Poultry & turkey: 10 days. Treatment should not exceed 7 days.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
